Most recent work is playfully exploring slab vessels and decoration with cone 6 clay and glazes. Continue exploring shapes and decoration of wheel thrown vessels.
Home Studio, Costa Mesa, CA. 1991-1998.
Experimented with carving, trimming, creating texture, and the use of inlaid stones on wheel thrown bowls and cylinders. Used high fire and low fire clay bodies and glazes.
California State University, Long Beach, Long Beach, CA. 1996.
Explored concepts and designs of ceramic vessels through assignments and research in ceramic traditions. Continued experimentation with glaze combinations, coil and slab forms, firing gas kilns, as well as an introduction to mold making.
Coastline, Orange Coast, and Golden West Community Colleges, Orange County, CA. 1991-1995. Delved into questions of form and surface decoration. Refined vessel-making and glaze combination skills.

I am a retired bilingual educator with supplementary authorizations in Art and Spanish, a taiji player and instructor, a Reiki Master/Teacher, a meditator, an avid hiker, and I speak Spanish and Portuguese fluently.
